A vacancy has arisen for a head gardener to work in the formal and informal gardens of a Grade 1 Listed property situated in North Hampshire. The garden is open to the public at certain times of the year.
The successful candidate will be required to work and manage a team totalling 2, plus contractors when required.
A good knowledge of ornamental plants and trees as well as vegetable and fruit growing is required. PA1 / PA6 spraying certificates are essential, and chainsaw qualifications desirable. The candidate must have a full driving licence as the gardens are in a rural location.
This is a full time (40 hours / week) permanent position. Accommodation can be provided. The post requires a person who can supervise a team and use their initiative.
