Grounds Maintenance Operative
Grade 2, £17,007 up to 17,391 per annum
37 hours per week, permanent contract Working as part of a mobile team you will carry out all aspects of gardening, grounds maintenance and other horticultural tasks at a number of sites throughout the borough and working in an outdoor environment all year round.

Duties include:

• General gardening duties such as maintenance of flower beds, digging, grass cutting, hedge cutting, forking, hoeing, hand weeding bedding, bulbs and shrubs etc…
• Use of horticultural and grass cutting machinery
• Hard and soft landscaping work; desirable criteria includes experience of fencing, paving and the application of pesticides
• Assist with external cleaning duties – such as litter picking, sweeping, emptying of litter bins, etc…
