An experienced self-motivated individual is required to join the Green Care Team in the Environmental Services Division.

You will manage a major grounds maintenance service area contract (approximately one third of the boroughs grounds maintenance) in line with agreed service specifications and within defined budgets. You will assist the Operations & Performance Manager in meeting the requirements of current legislation and assist in implementing new initiatives to improve and monitor the performance of the Green Care Section.

You must possess a recognised managerial qualification to at least NVQ level 4, and a National Certificate in Amenity Horticulture or equivalent qualifications. You will have relevant practical experience working in an amenity grounds maintenance service environment with relevant experience of managing a front line workforce within a competitive framework. You will also be competent in ICT skills including MS Office applications and working with GIS and data base systems.

You must have the ability to communicate at all levels, be able to work to deadlines and targets, design and implement work schedules and have a flexible approach to your work. You must have a current driving licence at least to Category B.
