The award winning garden compromises of lawns, fruit, rose and mixed shrub borders, herbaceous beds, informal ponds and formal ponds, wild flower meadow and wooded areas.

Applicants should possess an academic horticultural qualification; ideally at RHS level 2 or above, spray certificates (PA1/PA6) are desirable and/or extensive hands-on experience in large private gardens. A positive attitude and good sense of humour are essential. We a busy team so self-discipline and time management skills are vital. Overall in all that you do, you will take great pride in your work and will be motivated to present the gardens to exceptional standards.

The ideal candidate will have good technical gardening knowledge including species-specific pruning techniques, knowledge of seasonal garden management considerations, good plant identification skills, competence with a range of garden tools and machinery, and good physical fitness.

The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, will work to a consistently high standard and will be self- motivated whilst being able to adopt a flexible approach to their work. The ability to undertake basic machinery maintenance would be beneficial but is not essential.

Planning to have the interviews 21/22nd February.

The candidates should be able to demonstrate a high level of gardening skills, combined with good horticultural/plant knowledge. They should be able to maintain an award winning garden to an extremely high standard. He/ she must be highly motivated with a passion for gardening and the ability to carry out their duties unsupervised. They must also be experienced using a variety of machinery. A passion for horticulture is a must along with relevant experience and a good working knowledge of plants and turf care.
