Landscape Manager

Canary Wharf is a world-class centre for commerce, retail and leisure.

Canary Wharf Management Limited (CWM) undertakes management of our 97 acre estate.

CWM are looking to recruit an experienced senior manager to lead our team of gardeners to create and maintain the landscaped areas of the Estate, ensuring the presentation of all soft landscaping is of the highest quality at all times, whilst providing directon, training and motivation for the gardening team.

The incumbent will ensure that the highest level of landscape presentation is maintained at all times throughout the managed areas of the Estate, both internally and externally.

Acting as the Company’s specialist horticulture/technical representative, you will liaise and offer advice to all relevant construction teams and designers, whilst engaging with Landscape Architects and installing contractors, to ensure full understanding of all landscape proposals, maintenance and warranties.

You will agree the scope and specifications of the required maintenance and ensure that all such works are carried out by the in-house team and contractors, in accordance with the agreed schedules and required quality standards.

Experience of preparing specifications and documentation for tender requirements is essential, together with a good working knowledge of CAFM systems.

Preparation of the operational department budget, together with monitoring and strategic planning is an essential part of this role, therefore, previous experience is essential.

The successful candidate must hold a relevant degree in landscape, horticulture or an environmental related subject.
