Experienced & Enthusiastic Live-in Head Gardener

An attractive opportunity has arisen for a full-time skilled gardener to take primary control within a beautiful estate in Leicestershire. The imposing period property encompasses approx. 4 acres of gardens maintained to a very high standard. The successful applicant will be responsible for the lawns, formal & kitchen gardens, cut flowers, soft fruits and large greenhouses as well as a range of extensive garden machinery. Applicants should be confident and skilled in all aspects of pruning, i.e. roses, wisteria, shrubs etc. Candidates should hold a full driving licence. A chainsaw licence would be beneficial. The role would suit someone who is fit, hard-working, enthusiastic, flexible and methodical, and able to happily work with and supervise other employed help. Highest references required. Excellent salary together with a large 3 bedroom cottage available (provided rent and rates free) with picket fenced garden.
