External Grounds Supervisor - 38825

Our Midlands based client are currently an external grounds supervisor to lead an expanding grounds teams within the Birminham area.  Applicants must have a keen interest and passion for horticulture.  This will be very much a “hands on” roll, with candidates expected to have qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 in horticulture and/or more practical based skills such as PA1 and PA6 or a trailer license

• To carry out grounds maintenance tasks to include mowing, strimming, pruning and weed killing
• To work on landscaping projects

• To complete maintenance dockets accurately and obtain customer signatures
• To complete time sheets and to ensure all paperwork is handed in promptly

• To ensure all maintenance is carried out on a regular basis
• To act at all times as a representative of the company, and to ensure that the customer is completely satisfied

• To inform the General Manager of anything that may be useful in securing sales, including any information of use in the securing of additional Maintenance Contracts

• To initiate suggestions and report customer comments for improvement to the company’s performance
• To obtain in the course of work, all relevant information on the activities of competitors
• To comply with all relevant Health and Safety Requirements
• To undertake any other duties required by Management within the job holder’s competence

Experience Required

Essential

• Experience of grounds maintenance machinery                          
• Horticultural qualifications
• Ability to communicate easily at all levels                                                                
• Full current driving licence

Working hours are as follows:

March-November - 45hrs/ week   
December - February 35hr/ week (Mon-Thu)

Overtime is paid @ time and a half after 45hrs/week
