Operations Team Leader

Our Client are recognised as project partners for planting schemes for several of the largest design & build firms in the UK.  Specialising in office and commercial areas, they offer a UK-wide coverage, harnessing the power of biophilia in urban spaces.

They are now looking to recruit an Operations Team Leader to join the team


  • Overall responsibility for the production, procurement and planning of daily operations
  • Manage current team of 8 no. field technicians as well as potentially 1 office-based assistant, including training and performance evaluations. This will include spending days out with the team on the road, as well as visiting client’s sites to carry out quality inspections
  • Overseeing of inventory and distribution of goods
  • Plan, schedule, and review workloads and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis
  • Create and monitor maintenance KPI’s for the team
  • Provide regular reporting on performance to the management team
  • Negotiating with suppliers for regular goods, and also capital items required for ongoing operations, including the actual purchasing
  • Monitor that health and safety regulations are always followed
  • Maintain all aspects of the running of the site
  • Work closely with Sales to ensure a smooth transition from order to actual fulfilment


  • Brilliant communication and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with internal and external customer
  • Previous management experience essential
  • Strong leadership
  • Effective time management
  • Coaching and management skills, with ability to motivate the team
  • Problem solving – ready to adapt to the ever changing environment
  • Excellent IT skills across several different programs, with the ability to quickly pick up new systems
