An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Manager to join ESL Landscape Contractors.
We are looking for someone based around Guildford/in towards West London area, that has some management experience and is looking to progress.
Overseeing teams across West London and surrounding area, on existing and new commercial projects for a wide variety of clients, including company headquarters, new schools/academies, business/retail parks, superstores and industrial estates, as well as ecologically sensitive areas.
The successful candidate will take responsibility of overseeing a number of landscaping teams consisting of 2-3 operatives per team. You will be completing contracts of between £10k and £500k, ensuring that a consistently high level of quality and client satisfaction is delivered and maintained.
You will need to possess a flexible, methodical and conscientious approach. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is an important position within the company with excellent prospects for long term development and progression.
Full driving licence and current CSCS card are essential.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
Contract negotiations with clients
Pricing from drawings
Writing method and risk assessments
Ability to find workable solutions to problems as they arise
Experience within the soft landscaping industry as a Contracts Manager would be advantageous. Experience in overseeing / managing teams of workers
Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills Excellent organisation skills and a fine eye for detail
Numerate with good report writing skills
The ability to impart instructions clearly and lead and motivate your teams
Be a good problem solver, able to prioritise and manage your time efficiently and meet deadlines. Have a flexible, methodical and conscientious approach.
Salary in the region of £30k - £40k depending on skills and experience.
