Sales Representative & Technical Advisor | Home Based
Our client, a leading supplier to the landscaping industry, is looking for a Sales Representative & Technical Advisor to join their business.
The main duties & responsibilities will be to:
Adopt and grow a base of existing contacts.
Develop a base of new clients in your region and insure smooth adoption.
To price incoming enquires from customers.
To follow up outstanding quotations and negotiate orders.
To process orders accordingly and efficiently.
Improve and develop sales systems with the Sales Manager.
Work to and record targets as required.
Meet with clients and suppliers both on and off site in the UK & abroad as required.
Assist with the promoting of the company at trade shows and events.
Contacting suppliers for prices and information.
Handling queries & complaints.
Gathering and sharing product and market information.
Assisting with marketing activities.
Person Skills & Characteristics:
Strong plant knowledge and/ or experience of the gardening industry is essential.
A driven & personable individual who is confident with a positive personality.
A self-motivated individual who can work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Office computer skills & experience of Outlook and Excel is essential.
Wholesale business to business experience would be a benefit for this post.
Negotiable depending on experience, a company car is provided which is on a fully fuelled policy. Basic Westfield health cover is also provided.
Suitable office space will be required to accommodate home working.
Good broadband connection is essential.
Some working days will be required at the head office, these will include attending monthly sales meetings and 1-2-1 monthly progress reviews.
Area boundaries are flexible, covering the south and may be adjustable to accommodate the successful candidate.
