Our client is a well-known, leading fresh produce business that has a proven track record of producing quality fruit for the principal UK retailers. We are working with them as they seek a Head of Crop Production to support them as they continue to experience successful business growth.

This is great opportunity for you to lead the strategic objective of ensuring that your growers are sustainable and effective. You'll have the opportunity to provide growers with leading services to enable them to produce industry leading fruit for a variety of customers.

You'll do this by:
Directing the group's crop production forecasts to ensure that you meet customer demand.
Liaising with propagators to manage plant order forecasting.
Leading a team of expert fruit agronomists.
Managing trial designs of new varieties and growing techniques.
Providing scientific support to growers.
Encouraging best practise and continuous improvement across all teams.

We would love to hear from candidates who:
Have extensive experience of working in a similar role, preferably in soft fruit, horticultural crop production or crop advice.
Have fantastic communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Enjoy working in a team.
