Nursery Grower, Horticulturalist, Gardener

We are looking for a passionate horticulturist to lead our small team producing hardy plants in the nursery (for sale in our garden centre); and help maintain and develop the garden.

Ideal experience:

Passion for plants and a desire to learn.
Previous experience working in a commercial nursery.
Experience in propagation, plant identification, potting and watering.
A good knowledge of pests and diseases.
A minimum of RHS level 1 or equivalent.

As Nursery Production Team Leader you will be part of the small hands-on management team, assisting in the day-to-day running of the nursery and in particular working with, and supervising, a team growing quality hardy nursery stock for sale in our garden centre.  Work in the garden will include maintenance and on-going development.

Working hours: 40 hours per week and candidate must be prepared to be flexible to meet operational requirements. The days will be split between the nursery and the garden according to the time of year.
