Southern Counties Landscapes was established in 1997 and work mainly within the construction industry for large house builders providing soft and hard landscape services. Our office is based in Wokingham but we work in many locations across the South of England including North London, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, and parts of Gloucestershire.

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Landscape Projects Manager to join the team on a full-time basis.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

Key points

As a manager you will play a key role in leading the delivery of construction projects from £10,000 to £500,000.

Candidates must have managed contracts within the construction industry, predominantly developments for house builders.

The role will assist the managing director in the day to day running of the business, including overseeing projects from the early stages of design to the finishing process and handover.

                                                                                                                       

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Organise the workforce and projects with MD
  • Meet with clients pre, during and post construction
  • Assisting with compiling tenders
  • Assisting with preparing invoices
  • Arranging training for the workforce when required
  • Order materials and book deliveries
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and assist with risk assessment & method statements
  • Assisting to identify and resolve design and layout issues within a project in plan and onsite

                                                                                                                       

Required skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Full valid UK driving license
  • CSCS card/ Horticultural qualification
  • Project management experience in soft landscaping within the construction industry
  • Knowledge of trees/shrub species
  • Experience with horticultural machinery ie;- Rotovators/rollers/strimmer’s etc
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages, particularly Word and Excel,
  • Ability to use initiative and work as part of a team
  • Physically able and hardworking
  • Enthusiastic & willing
  • Punctual and good timekeeper
  • Trustworthy
  • Flexible
  • Candidates must have managed contracts within the construction industry, predominantly developments for house builders.

                                                                                                                               

This role is subject to a 6-month probationary period

Salary £35,000 - £40,000** plus company vehicle and annual bonus.

**Salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience.
