Experienced Head Gardener (near Canterbury, Kent)

Full time experienced Head Gardener required for large country gardens and grounds in Kent. They comprise just under 10ac of country house gardens with extensive herbaceous borders, mature woodland, formal lawns and hedging and a further 43 acres of parkland.

The appointed person will be required to direct, motivate and coordinate a small established team as well as work in a creative partnership with the Employer. Applicants will need to be physically fit, have detailed knowledge of horticulture, experience in leading a team and in planning and designing annual borders, managing contractors and the ability to organise and maintain daily garden records.

Level 2 Horticultural qualifications (RHS 2 or equivalent), good I.T skills and a full clean driving licence are essential.

The position is for a fixed term period of 12 months and salary will be commensurate with experience.
