Salary: £22,651 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week (including some weekends)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Grower (Plants) to work full time at Kings Hill Nurseries just outside Coventry.

Operating at our large 4 acre site in a beautiful setting, the successful candidate will be responsible for the growing of high quality plants for sale to trade and retail customers. This will be to agreed growing and production plans in a team setting, working with adults with learning difficulties and volunteers.

You will have the responsibility of reviewing and preparing annual growing plans and ensuring the variety, quality and quantity of plants for retail. 

You will have a strong knowledge and experience of growing plants in a commercial environment and will be able to guide and advise colleagues and customers.

You will also have a horticultural qualification of a minimum level 2 NVQ (or equivalent) and a good general knowledge of bedding and hardy plants.  Experience of working with people with Learning Difficulties is an advantage, as is experience of working in a retail setting and dealing with customers.

A full driving license and your own transport is desirable as the nursery is in a remote location and is not well supported by public transport.
