Working across two private estates in close proximity to each other in Berkshire that are used throughout the year for sporting events and the owners private use.
Job Purpose
To assist in the maintenance of the gardens and surrounding estate using various machinery as and when required.
Main Role
- To be responsible for the maintenance of an area of the gardens and estate.
- To assist fellow colleagues in day to day tasks
- To ensure that Health and Safety policies and procedures are being followed, reporting any accidents, near misses or dangerous occurrences as necessary. To ensure faults in machinery or equipment are reported.
- To follow instructions from the foreman when necessary
- To maintain lawn areas to the highest standards required, including grass cutting, trimming, edging, weeding etc.
- To maintain the estate with a range of jobs including general fence and paddock maintenance, pressure washing, painting etc
- To assist in the preparation for special events ensuring the gardens and estate are shown to their highest standard.
- Any other duties as required.
Job Requirements
The standard working hours are 40 hours per week - (08:00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday). Owing to the seasonal nature of the works, the job holder may be required to work overtime and weekends.
This is not a live in position.
Salary - commensurate with skills and experience
Person Specification
You must:
- Have relevant experience working on an estate/gardens
- Have experience of working in a small team and individually
- Be organised with good time management and prioritisation skills
- Have the ability to communicate to a range of individuals
- Have a clean driving licence
