Assistant Park Supervisor - 38489

Our Client  have a busy Green Space Team which manages the Borough’s parks, open spaces, cemeteries and allotments. We are currently seeking a committed Assistant Park Supervisor to support the Senior Park Supervisor.

 This individual must be a skilled and experienced groundsman with a clear understanding of the maintenance of bowling greens and other playing surfaces. The successful candidate must also be happy to train and develop the Green Space Assistant and the Sports Turf Apprentice. The main role is to ensure that the standards of presentation and service delivery prescribed by the Council are maintained The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, able to work alone at times, be self-motivated, honest and flexible. This may be the job for you if you have experience of working outside all day and experience of carrying out manual work. You will need to be prepared to work in all weather conditions and be able to work on your feet for the duration of the shift. Some aspects of the job are particularly physically demanding. The main duties of the role will involve keeping the parks clean and tidy, including cleaning the changing rooms, public toilets, cutting grass and pruning plants and bushes. Some testing of facilities and record keeping is also involved. You will therefore be required to have good communication skills and be able to liaise with the public in a polite and friendly manner.
