Horticultural/ Plant Area Assistant Manager

Our client is one of the best and largest independent Garden Centres in the North of England. They pride themselves in inspiring gardeners and bringing them an outstanding range of plants, gardening and home & leisure products. They are currently looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Horticultural / Plant area Assistant Manager on a full time and permanent basis.

You will be working in the largest department of the garden centre so need to be reliable and punctual; you need good plant knowledge, enthusiasm and be full of creative ideas and flair. You must be capable of leading others, a logical thinker and be excellent in prioritising in a fast paced ever changing environment.

The role will be to take responsibility alongside the Plant Area Manager for the largest department in the garden centre.
Experience of leading a team with excellent people management skills.

Plant maintenance
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with other departments and staff at all levels.
Excellent organisational skills
Proven ability to plan and prioritise workloads and able to work under own initiative.
The ability to motivate others and delegate accordingly.

Hours: Full Time
Duration: Permanent 4 weekdays and a Sunday
