Starting salary is £24,174 rising to £25,951 on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period

Tree Services delivers services across a wide range of clients including Highways, Housing and Parks on a one stop basis. It also has contracts with private companies and other local authorities to
provide tree services.

Working as part of a team you will ensure that a full range of Arboricultural management and operational services is provided throughout the City, using both in house operational teams and external business partners. Your role will include carrying out inspections of council owned trees to assess condition, diagnose any disorders, pests or diseases and to organise and implement any necessary work.

The role will involve liaising with councillors and citizens, which will require an advanced level of written and verbal communication skills.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Clear thinking, analytical mind and effective verbal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive approach to problem solving and providing innovative solutions.
  • Background in tree management supported by relevant qualifications and professional accreditation.

This role requires you to participate in an on call rota.
