Trainee Category Buyer | Fresh Produce | Entry Level

Due to an exciting and sustained period of growth, this well respected and innovative food manufacturer is looking for a bright, engaging and enthusiastic professional from the fresh produce or food sector to join them as a Trainee Buyer.
This business supplies other manufactures along the supply chain, retail and food to go customers and will offer a proactive self-starter the chance to get in-house and external training, opening up the potential of an exciting and rewarding career in buying/ purchasing and supply chain.

You will be responsible for managing and driving relationships with suppliers and maximising their potential as well as driving cost savings through close monitoring and relationship building

You will also be sourcing new suppliers and establishing new relationships, actively pursuing in-depth market knowledge with fresh food, including New Product Development for bespoke products.

We are very open minded what the successful Trainee Buyer looks like however you must have some sort experience within the fresh produce or food manufacturing sector; perhaps coming from a technical, operations, logistics or commercial / sales role.

They are looking for a genuinely ambitious and driven personality who can motivate themselves.
