Assistant Grower / Production Manager
Lincolnshire

Our client sees themselves as a niche grower, specialising in herbs with a few peripheral crops for interest and are probably the largest herb specialist supplying the UK Garden Centre sector today. Scale gives them a certain advantages in what is a competitive industry and world but they remain a niche, family business with 25 years under their belt and very much looking ahead at the next 25 years.
As part of this vision they are looking to strengthen their growing team and are looking for a

Someone who enjoys what is a very varied role. As a smaller company, all people within the team need to be flexible and prepared to tackle pretty much anything that crops up!
Growing experience, a plants person. Ideally formal training or experience in the industry up to and above National Diploma.


Ideally PA1 & PA6 Spray Certificates, Forklift and First Aid although none essential and they can be gained later.
Initially the successful candidate will need to get to understand the business, production techniques, watering, spraying and so on. Gradually They will look for you to become more involved in organisation, management and planning with more of a mix of nursery and office tasks.


Must be capable of carrying out office/admin tasks and will need to be computer literate but also equally prepared to get your hands dirty!
This is a job for someone who likes to be active and relishes each day being different.
Salary will be dependent on experience and our client is also willing to consider graduates too.
