We are working in partnership with an interesting fresh produce business that are highly regarded and respected on a global level. Known for their focus on innovation and quality fresh produce, our client is a brilliant place for a Farm Operations Manager to assist them in their growing operations based in West Cornwall.

This is an exciting job for those who are interested in working across technical, growing and operations tasks. A true manager's role that will suit candidates who are happy to role their sleeves up and get stuck in.

As Farm Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Working with the Managing Director to develop a strategic plan for the farming operation.
Leading all agronomy guidance and agronomic operations across the whole farm to achieve agreed objectives.
Striving to improve Farm Traceability Management Systems.
Manage and develop the farming team to ensure that your staff are performing to the best of their ability.
Managing all seasonal staff (up to 800).
Driving forward innovation and creating a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensuring that the growing operations are as efficient as can be.
All growing and harvesting operations.

The person will:

Have experience in intensive cropping or growing horticultural crops on a large commercial scale.
Used to managing large scale farming operations.
Comfortable with leading and organising large teams.
Have budget management and contract management.
Have experience in leading change management.
Be comfortable in trying new, innovative ways of farming.
Ideally be FACTS & BASIS qualified.
Be hands on and happy to get stuck in.
Have experience of leading innovative projects.
