Garden Centre Events & Operations Manager
Our client is a family owned British garden centre retailer steeped in history and expertise. Last year the brand celebrated 70 years in business. With four stores and a growing, inspirational multi-channel retail offer, they are always looking for talented colleagues to join them on their journey that really puts the customer at the heart of everything they do.
Due to their ongoing growth strategy, they have a newly created opportunity for a local Operations Manager at their Oxfordshire based branch. This position would suit either an experienced individual from a similar role, or someone currently at supervisor level looking to develop their career. Experience of events management would also be pertinent to this role.
Reporting into the Garden Centre Manager, you will be responsible for leading the way forward for Heath and Safety, Customer Services and Events (including the fabulous Christmas Grotto, ice rink and ice cafe).
You will have a sound background in retail, ideally from the garden centre industry or similar, although this is not essential. You will be able to demonstrate people management skills and will be familiar with health and safety in the workplace requirements and regulations.
