Territory Account Manager | North West Territory | £30K - £35K
Our client, a progressive and well-known garden centre supplier business, is looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic Territory Manager with excellent garden centre sector knowledge to join their forward thinking, creative team. Could this be the right position for you?
About the role:
You will be managing direct and indirect customers (distributors, wholesalers, shops) in assigned territory to develop the business and achieve quarterly and yearly sales plans. You will need to prepare action plans for designated customers/distributors to be approved by Management, by analysing customer needs and prioritizing targets.
Following-up deliveries, invoices, payments, customer stock.
Ensuring central negotiations are applied at store level.
Negotiating global conditions
Negotiating the range with store managers and setting targets together.
Informing & educating shop staff, giving technical product support during the season.
Representing the business in professional customer trade shows.
Monitoring and acquiring knowledge of competitors' products and sales strategies on the market.
Informing the Marketing Department and Sales Manager about relevant activities (new products, changes, new competitors, etc).
The Ideal Candidate:
You will need minimum 3 years successful sales experience, ideally within the Garden Centre Channel, but not essential.
Basic knowledge of the UK and Ireland Garden market, distribution network, customers and competitors. With a strong negotiation skill set and an enthusiastic can-do attitude this position could be right for you.
