Graduate Assistant Grower
Our client is one of the leading growers in its sector, growing ornamental plants throughout the year. They are an expanding business, extremely professional and as a result of this continued expansion they are now looking to appoint a Graduate Assistant Grower to learn and develop their growing skills.

This is an ideal role for an ambitious, hands on, hard working person with a passion for growing/farming who is looking to develop their career in a progressive forward looking business. The role will be to ensure optimal growth conditions are maintained throughout the growing season using the available resources to deliver yields at the highest level and quality. You will be responsible for all nutrition & climate set points including venting, CO2 and energy saving systems and operational instructions for maximizing yield and quality whilst ensuring the Company SHE standards are maintained.

You will be tasked with building effective relationships with the in house growing teams striving for continual improvement of yield, quality and forecasted demand.

You will be bright, enthusiastic and will have a high degree of practical skills such as spraying and fertigation etc and be mechanically minded and ideally have practical mechanical skills as well. FACTS and BASIS are desired. But these can be learnt whilst on the job.

We are looking for either a graduate in horticulture who wants their first step in growing or a junior grower who wants to develop their career in a multi sited fast growing business. Either way this is a great opportunity to develop your growing skills in a progressive and dynamic organization.
