Principal Arboriculture Officer OCC3412
Salary Range: £37,107 - £43,757 per annum

Oxfordshire County Council is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic professional arboriculturalist with a passion for trees and a proven track record of tree management to provide the technical lead in all matters relating to county council trees.
This new post offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the future delivery of an Arboricultural service in the authority.
It is a complex and demanding position, and one that requires a wide range of skills and extensive specialist knowledge. You will need to be comfortable working across a variety of teams and have good interpersonal and public engagement skills.
The successful applicant will hold a formal Arboricultural qualification to at least Level 4 Diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent, and will have at least five years' experience of working at a theoretical, practical and procedural level within professional arboriculture, preferably within a public-sector context with supervisory or management experience.
The post is on a new ‘career grade’ with a wide salary scale. Starting point on this scale is negotiable depending on skills and experience.
