Interim Nursery General Manager

Our client is a leading wholesale nursery stock producer based in West Sussex who are seeking an experienced Nursery General Manager who can step into a General Managers role for the next 3 month. This short term contract would suit an experienced manager who is looking for a project where they can hit the ground running and manage these key areas for the next 3 months.

Finance:

To produce an annual budget for presentation to the bank.
To monitor the budget against actual on a monthly basis.
To maintain an up to date cost base.
To ensure monthly accounts are maintained and sent to the bank on a monthly basis.

Team Management:

To hold a weekly operations meeting to see how the team performed.

HR:

Responsible for recruiting staff who enhance the capability of the team.
To ensure that appraisals are carried out and that a training matrix is produced annually.

Operations:

To monitor the productivity on a weekly basis.

Technical:

To over see the work of the Technical Manager ensuring that our client are BOPP compliant.
To carry put regular nursery walks to monitor quality of plants being grown.
