Job Details
Our client is a leading Cash & Carry supplying landscape and amenity clients with good quality own grown nursery stock.
Overall Purpose:
To obtain and record sales from customers.
To assist in the day-to-day running and development of the Drive In Department.
To promote the company and it's products.
To help achieve company aims and targets for the sales department.
To maintain a good knowledge of companies products and quote prices for products.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
Develop and maintain good relations with existing customers.
Assist customers with selection and loading of their requirements.
Deal with customer enquiries, including by telephone, fax, email or verbally and quote prices.
To maintain and develop point of sale information and other customer information methods.
Protect and promote the company brand, company and products.
Serve customers at the checkout desk and order collection point.
Company Procedures:
Ensure that records and documentation are maintained in all areas of work.
Ensure security is maintained throughout the department and work to minimise shrinkage through theft or miss-selling of products.
Ensure customers vehicles are inspected at checkout.
Maintain a good knowledge of all company regulations and procedures.
Maintain a high level of knowledge of the companies products and relevant horticultural practice.
To assist with the point of sale operations at the checkout and shop areas.
Preparation of accurate sales documentation and operation of the checkout.
Control and security of the till and pdq machine, including supervision of staff using the till.
To assist with the daily cashing up procedures.
The Drive-In Sales Assistant must also assist with any other tasks that can reasonably be considered to be appropriate to the position, and within their capabilities.
