Help get Salford Growing

Hours: Full time 37.5

Location: RHS Bridgewater/Home based TBC

Contract: Permanent

The Royal Horticultural Society has been the force behind gardening for more than 200 years.  Best known for our world famous Flower Shows and Gardens, our charitable work is diverse and includes connecting millions of children with nature through the RHS Campaign for School Gardening, supporting community gardening through RHS Britain in Bloom and conducting pioneering horticultural scientific research. We believe everyone should benefit from growing plants to build stronger, healthier and happier communities.

The RHS is developing RHS Garden Bridgewater, an exciting new 154 acres garden in Salford. This is the first time we have built a garden from scratch and we are excited about the difference the project can make to Salford and the wider region. Benefiting communities is at the heart of our plans, to connect people through this new inspirational space from the start.

As part of our Community Outreach Team we are recruiting a Community Outreach Advisor, to develop projects and partnerships with the local community. Our programme focuses on the development of regional networks and partnerships, to support a wide variety of people to develop their horticultural skills and transform spaces where they live. If you have a passion for the power of horticulture to grow people and places, then we want to hear from you.

The role

Living local to the new garden and having experience of developing relationships with community organisations, volunteers and schools in Salford is essential.

Community Outreach Advisor
