Our client has established themselves as one of the largest and most well-known Hardy Perennial growers in the UK. Starting from a small 1 acre site back in 1989, they now have over 35 acres of land under production. They always believe in producing the highest quality perennials for their customers, no matter what their size. Customers and the products they supply are always the main priority and building on this mentality has allowed them to build up a very large customer portfolio from independent garden centre's along with a number of the UK's larger garden retail chains and multiple stores.

As part of this they currently looking for a Spray Operator.
The main purpose of the role is the application of agricultural / horticultural pesticides in a safe and effective manner in line with crop spray schedules to control and eradicate plant pests, weeds and diseases such that expected crop yields are not adversely affected.
To identify and act upon on P&D issues.
To spray and apply chemicals at the times required.
To apply and monitor rodent / vermin bait application and apply in areas required. Training can be undertaken if you currently do not hold the required certificates.
To have an understanding and experience of biological controls and applications on hardy nursery stock.
To undertake other general nursery work as and when required.
Applicants must possess Spray Certificates PA1 and PA6.
Will have a keen interest in horticulture, good plant knowledge and able to work alone and use own initiative.

Salary: Negotiable - DOE
