Job Title: Research and Development Assistant
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £19,000 to £23,000 per annum (DOE)

Our client is a leading name in the floral sector supplying into some of the UK's largest retailers. This dynamic company has enjoyed substantial growth over the last few years and they aim to continue this success for years to come.

As a result of this expansion our client has a vacancy for a Research and Development Assistant at their state of the art site in Cambridgeshire. Working alongside the Technical and Development departments this role will be tasked with supporting these departments in Product and Market research programmes.

Duties in the role will include:
*Engagement in project design and planning
*Processing flower samples for testing and collecting research data
*Preparing samples for testing and inputting results into collection systems
*Supporting the Technical and Development teams with daily data input
*Assisting in the daily maintenance of the site and ensuring technical standards are high
*Analysing the floral market for design and commercial opportunities

It is important to note this is a Monday to Friday office hour's role but weekend work will be needed once every three weeks.

Essential Experience Needed:
*Practical experience within flowers and horticulture would be beneficial
*A Technical or Quality background within FMCG (Fresh Produce or Food Manufacturing)
*Practical understanding of FMCG Technical, Development or Quality Control Processes
*Strong IT skills, a familiarity with Technical data systems would be beneficial
*Strong literacy and numeracy skills
*Excellent communication skills
*Flexibility in working hours
*Full UK Driving License
*Academic background within Horticulture, Technical Research or Food Science
