Due to the retirement of our client's Head Gardener at the end of this year, they are currently recruiting for his successor.

This exciting role will include leading an enthusiastic team of gardeners and working alongside other departments to maintain and develop the college’s gardens and deliver high standards of horticulture.

37.5 hours per week, which would include some weekend working 
Salary: £29,383 - £30,265 per annum

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the new Head Gardener will take an active role in the design, improvement and development of all garden areas of the college owned sites and off-site properties, developing the existing gardens for all round year beauty. He/she will be involved in delivering some great new developments, which will include support in the design of the courts around a new Library and Auditorium, due to be built in the next couple of years. The successful applicant will also expand opportunities for in-house propagation, which could include growing their own garden produce for the college's successful catering and conferencing operation.
