Opportunity for a Gardener with experience in all horticultural operations to play a key role working on the extensive and picturesque gardens of one of the leading independent schools in the UK.

As a Gardener, you will assist in the maintenance, development and improvement of the School’s gardens, by producing high quality work that creates excellent visual impact for pupils, parents, visitors, staff and the Uppingham community to enjoy.

Typical duties will include tending to plants, lawn mowing, hedge cutting, leaf collection, hard and soft landscaping and maintaining garden furniture and structures.
You will also assist in the design, growing and planting of both the town’s and the School’s floral displays for the Uppingham and Britain in Bloom competitions.  

If you have relevant experience in a similar role, work well in a team and have reasonable plant knowledge along with good basic horticultural techniques we would be delighted to hear from you.
