Here’s a great opportunity for a gardener to help keep England’s most beautiful cemetery looking that way. Working as part of our gardening team the job includes weeding, pruning, strimming, litter picking, cleaning, and planting. It also includes helping with the preparation and conduct of burials, including digging graves.
You’ll need minimum level 3 in Amenity Horticulture, 2/3 years’ experience working in a horticultural environment, good practical skills in soft landscaping and grounds maintenance, machinery skills including strimmers, leaf blowers and dumper as well as good management and interpersonal skills. Ideally you’ll have a 360 digger licence but, if not, we’ll train you.
Salary range £20,000 to £23,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
Hours: 35 hours / week excluding breaks; normally 8am to 4pm with some weeks 9am to 5pm.
