Landscape and Green Wall Business Development Manager

Due to the continued success of our business we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Landscape and Green Wall Business Development Manager.


  • Maintain and increase sales of our exterior landscape installation and maintenance services.
  • Promote green walls to new potential clients, providing technical expertise, back up and support. 
  • Exceed sales and margin targets
  • Increase business opportunities by developing routes to market
  • Works to ensure sales team objectives are being met in a timely fashion 
  • Continue with self-development that will enhance knowledge and standards attained so far
  • Ensure H&S and all compliance requirements are adhered to 
  • Duties 
  • Head up or support large tender submissions 
  • Carry out all operations in line with Company standards 
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure new works are appropriate and can be delivered in an efficient profitable manner 
  • Deal with client contractual issues 
  • Assist with elements of marketing which may include: Web, Sales Material, Newsletters, E-Brochures, Chelsea and one off events
  • Support sales team with specialist knowledge at client meetings 
  • Attend pre-installation meetings on site
  • Take part in green wall presentations to Architects
  • Create RAMS information for new/existing works where changes have taken place.
  • Alert office admin team to updates required for existing clients, contact details, contract changes etc. 
  • Making appointments with new and existing clients to discuss their requirements 
  • Ensures sales leads and opportunities are followed through efficiently and effectively
  • Liaising and handing over work to Sales Administration team to ensure as much time as possible is spent meeting clients and developing new business 
  • Ensuring appointments are carried out as quickly and efficiently as possible. 
  • Ensure vehicle checks are complete 
  • Ensure mileage forms are complete 
  • Ensure a quotation survey sheet is completed for each new job issued by the Sales Administration team. 

Specific Requirements

  • Understanding of irrigation systems, flow rates, programming, installation, repair and winterisation
  • Comprehensive exterior plant knowledge specifically those used within corporate landscape sector.
  • Background in managing landscape projects
  • 2 years’ experience working within a similar sector
  • Clean driving licence 

Role Expectations

  • Minimum core hours: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. ½ hour for lunch.  Flexibility expected as the job demands
  • Some travel abroad and in the UK may be required

Training and Competence Responsibilities

  • Act in accordance with our procedures and manuals at all times
  • Attend training meetings / seminars / courses where asked
  • Work closely with the company management to ensure you receive the necessary technical training in order to provide the required level of service to your clients
  • Provide cascading training to others where required

Essential Skills / Qualifications

  • Must have a good technical knowledge of plant requirements
  • Ability to sell products and services to clients
  • Must be able to provide an excellent service to clients and communicate at all levels
  • Must have good time management skills in order to work using own initiative and as part of a team
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
