Are you looking for an opportunity to join a highly innovative company within the fresh produce sector? If so, read on. Due to continued and consistent business growth, a highly regarded salad grower is looking to find a talented Production Manager in order to run two new production sites. With the help of the supportive team around you, you will work to produce crops of the highest standard at these production sites.

The Job

As Production Manager for this fresh produce company, you would be heavily involved in everything from the selection of farm and crop varieties to the crop husbandry, growth and harvesting.
This role will be profoundly focused on the actual growing of the crop, so it is important that you are prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in as well as take on the other responsibilities that come with managing a commercial growing operation.
These responsibilities will include all staffing and HR issues including the housing of labour, setting budgets, driving forwards innovation and developing growing systems.

The Candidate

To become Production Manager you will have proven growing experience in the fresh produce sector. This experience must be in edible crops.
The desire to innovate and develop the way in which we grow our food is also a must.
You will be required to travel overseas (Europe) to other production sites so please only apply if this is something that you are prepared to do.
You will be happy to work together with others in order to achieve an agreed outcome and you will be committed to do so.
In a perfect world, you will be able to speak Spanish too. However, if you do not then please don't be put off as this is by no means essential.

This is a truly fantastic opportunity for you to work with a forward thinking and innovative fresh produce business; so, if you think that the above Production Manager role is for you, please do get in touch with Edina on either 01780 480 530 if you have any questions or email to discuss further.
