Two exceptional opportunities have arisen at a large private estate in Highgate, North London. Successful applicants will join a busy team and will have the opportunity to develop their skills and experience in a garden which is maintained to the highest aesthetic and horticultural standards.
We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, flexible, responsible and proactive, and have a high sense of integrity and discretion. A hands-on approach and meticulous attention to detail are also essential qualities.
Duties for both roles will include planting, pruning, propagation, weeding, leaf-blowing, lawn mowing and maintenance of structures such as fences and pathways. It is expected that you will have good plant knowledge and all-round horticultural skills, including experience using small machinery.
It would be preferable but not essential for applicants to hold a recognised horticultural qualification, such as NVQ Level 2 or equivalent. Experience of working in a large garden of a similar nature would also be advantageous. PA1/PA6 spraying certificates and other additional qualifications would be desirable, though not essential as training can be provided if necessary. A full clean driving licence would also be advantageous. Some weekend work may be required and all applicants must live within a commutable distance.
We are looking for an all-round gardener, with an enthusiastic approach and a willingness to further their skills and experience. Duties would include both maintenance of existing garden areas, plus involvement in the development of new areas.
