Our client is one of the largest global suppliers of fresh cut flowers for the UK and continental European markets. Within the UK they supply leading retail multiples within horticulture and gifting sections. As part of a larger group our client offers fantastic training and opportunities for progression into the fresh produce arm of their business. About the Role:

This role will be responsible for planning and monitoring stock levels and deliveries to ensure agreements are fulfilled. You will use your rapport building skills to maintain great relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Your strong communication skills will allow you to keep stakeholders up to date with progress of targets. You will utilise your knowledge of the fresh produce/horticulture/FMCG sector to make logical decisions and produce alternatives and ideas. You will maintain a system to monitor and record rejected products and take appropriate action with suppliers. You will be responsible for ongoing forecasting to identify stock issues and liaise with procurement, commercial, technical and operations functions to establish solutions when necessary. Your can-do attitude, logical approach and organisational skills will be key in your success within the role. Great potential to move into a Buyer role once you have built your knowledge of the business and proven your ability.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will come from a fresh produce or horticulture arena and will have a strong understanding of the sector and the challenges it faces. Experience using IFS or other MIS tools would be considered an asset. The ideal candidate will have a great attitude and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure the continued success of the company. Commercial administration or buying experience will be considered an asset.

Minimum Requirements:

As a minimum to be considered for this role you will need a great attitude, knowledge of the fresh produce/horticulture arena and fantastic organisation and relationship management skills.


Circa £20,000 + benefits depending on experience
