UK Gardening App Project Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a UK Gardening App Project Manager to help grow and engage the community on our new gardening app. This person should have a firm understanding of digital best practices and trends, and know how to build and convert a digital audience. This individual will report to the management team in South Africa and will need to be flexible to travel in London and surrounding areas.


  • Building the community and driving downloads and to grow the audience
  • Listen and engage in relevant discussions on the app
  • Daily content moderation/management - updates and monitoring of new content, respond appropriately to user comments and queries.
  • Promoting the app on social media and other platforms.

  • Reporting


Skills & Requirements

  • An interest in or knowledge about general gardening, food gardening and plants
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • 3 years minimum experience in Digital Marketing
  • Well organised and great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understanding of other digital marketing services: SEO, email marketing, social media ads etc
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Active and well-rounded personal presence on social media, with a command of each network and their best practices.
  • Able to work within a team but, but also able to work under own initiative
  • A desire to work in the online-horticulture sector is required.
  • Adaptable to changing environment
  • Natural sales and marketing ability with good commercial acumen
  • Driven to learn, improve and excel
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Hard-working, plenty of get up and go!
