The Horticultural Training Scheme sits within The MacRobert Trust’s extensive charitable agenda and applications are invited for 4 trainee gardener placements to start in September. No experience is necessary and applications are invited from new entrants to horticulture, and are strongly encouraged from current or recently qualified horticultural college students.
All applicants must provide evidence of an interest in a professional horticultural career.
Successful candidates will work within an experienced garden team, and assist in the maintenance and development of The Trust’s extensive ornamental and productive gardens. Where applicable, the achievement of formal horticultural qualifications (SVQ Levels 1, 2 & 3 and RHS Practical Levels 1 & 2) is encouraged, and training and assessment is undertaken in-house.
Trainees are also assisted in obtaining PA1/PA6 and CS30. All positions offered are salaried and full-time for a minimum of twelve months, and shared accommodation is available. Further details can be seen by visiting The MacRobert Trust website ‘Grant making/Horticultural Training Scheme’.
Completed applications must be received no later than Friday 25th May and forwarded to Mr Stephen McCallum, Head of Gardens. The MacRobert Trust by clicking on the 'Apply now' button.
