New careers hub will showcase top horticulture organisations to work for, insights for jobseekers and recruiters and more

Wonderful Workplaces Hort

Horticulture Jobs has launched a new campaign to get employers in the horticulture industry enthused about showcasing their organisation as a 'wonderful workplace'.

The bespoke careers content will be hosted in a dedicated section called 'Wonderful Workplaces' on the Horticulture Jobs careers advice hub.

For horticulture professionals it offers insider insight into what it's like to work for a particular organisation, what the culture is like and why you might want to work there.

For recruiters, it will offer employer branding tips, recruitment advice and more.

Why should we care about an employer's brand?

  • A Haymarket Business Media recruitment survey in 2016 found that 90% of active jobseekers would take an employer's brand into consideration when applying for jobs
  • 40% of professionals would apply for a job if it was to work for an amazing brand, even if they're not actively looking for a job.
  • And LinkedIn research shows recruiters fail to communicate the values of the hiring company in 55% of cases.

What is it like to work at...

The new 'What is it like to work at...?' content feature will give jobseekers insider insight into what it's like to work for a variety of horticultural employers. They can find out what these organisations are looking for in their future employees, what the roles they're recruiting for entail and why you might want to work there, to ensure you're well suited before you think about applying.

Recruitment consultancies

The Wonderful Workplaces initiative invites recruitment consultancies in the industry to share their thought leadership and top tips for jobseekers and recruiters alike. Jobseekers can benefit from their industry insights to get ahead in their careers, and recruiters can take away industry knowledge and trends to put into practice and boost their recruitment activities.

Tell your story

Why would a horticulture professional choose your organisation as a place to work? Do they know how you will grow their careers and offer them the best working environment?
