An exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking indoor farming company as Hydroponic Farm Manager has recently become available. You will be based in Burton-on-Trent, growing fresh herbs and leafy salad crops in a completely controlled indoor environment. Your responsibilities:

As Hydroponic Farm Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of running the indoor farm. This will include agronomy, crop health & husbandry, bio-security, labour & recruitment, training staff, logistics and administration. You will also be managing relationships with various different third parties. You will report directly into the CEO and be supported by the Technical Director.

You will also be expected to grow with the business. Our client has ambitious plans which is great for you as it means that there will be a career development plan for you and you will eventually take on additional sites.

The person:

We are looking for candidates who have experience of growing herbs of leafy salad crops. You will be educated in agriculture, horticulture, agronomy or a related subject to degree level or equivalent qualification. You also need knowledge of HACCP.

As this is a new and innovative farm, we are looking for candidates who can think outside the box and are open to new ideas.

There will be UK and EU travel involved.
