Supply Chain Manager/ Buyer | Horticulture

We are working with a very successful and interesting horticultural business who are looking to add a Supply Chain Manager/ Buyer to their team. This role would see you working across a broad spectrum of SKU's in the horticultural & fresh produce sector.

The Job:

Working as part of the Buying team you will take on responsibility for sourcing products across a number of different suppliers and units. You will also be responsible for managing the supply chain of each good and distribution to the client. This role will really suit someone who has a certain amount of 'trader' energy and the ability to seek our opportunity wherever it may be across a varied range of horticultural goods.

The Candidate:

Ideally to be successful in this role we are looking for someone with a trading 'go get 'em' mentality who is capable of working across a high number of SKU's rather than few. Fresh produce or veg buying experience would be ideal as speed will be key for this business so the ability to act and work with products of a short shelf life would be an advantage in this role. Experience in supply chain will also be beneficial as the purchasing process will need monitoring all the way through to completion.
