The Royal Parks are Hyde Park, The Green Park, Richmond Park, Greenwich Park, St James’s Park, Bushy Park, The Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill, and Kensington Gardens. We also manage other important open spaces in the capital including, Brompton Cemetery, Victoria Tower Gardens, Canning Green and Poet’s Corner, and we maintain the gardens of 10, 11 and 12 Downing Street.

About the role

We are offering a unique opportunity to join The Royal Parks as an Assistant Park Manager, on a permanent basis. The post holder will carry out a range of Park Management functions, as part of the Hyde Park Team, managing the park effectively and efficiently, whilst seeking opportunities for continual improvement.

 

About you

You will be passionate about Parks, hold a relevant degree level qualification, or have equivalent experience, combined with broad experience of park management with a high level of proficiency in amenity horticulture. You will have experience of contract management, and of writing and presenting reports to a high standard. You will be adept in using IT applications, including MS Office and able to learn new packages quickly.

You will possess excellent written and communication skills with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders. Partnership working will be a very important part of this role as you will be working not only with other members of the Hyde Park Team, but also with contractors, local authorities, members of public, volunteers, Friends Groups, etc.

It is essential that the post-holder is flexible and willing to work outside of standard office hours to support business delivery, including evenings and weekends.
