A hands-on Estate Manager/Worker is required to join two other staff to manage 200 acres of organic parkland containing ponds and wildflower meadows and 5 acres of formal garden with extensive lawns situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Primary responsibilities will be for planting/care of new and ancient trees, hedges, wildflower meadows, irrigation system, lawn/turf care and pruning of topiary/trees. Applicants will ideally have a horticultural or countryside management qualification and practical experience in a similar role. It is expected you will take on responsibility for day to day maintenance of machinery and other estate duties. Experience using modern estate machinery is vital that includes tractors and gang mowers. A work vehicle will be provided for personal use also.
