The nursery has invested heavily to provide increased performance and the best possible range of products, value and service to their customers across the UK. An exciting opportunity for a Cultural Supervisor has become available to become a key part of the day to day growing across the production site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management of the crop growing process. Reporting to line managers, candidates will be accountable for the effective delivery of crops grown to the correct specification to meet customer expectations. 

The applicant will need to be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments to achieve performance targets, meet quality standards and maintain an efficient operation.  You should have previous experience of leading and motivating a team.  Good organisation with excellent attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to prioritise work and problem solve.  Proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Excel is a must as well as previous knowledge of Quality systems and LEAN systems, as is a flexible approach to work.

Previous experience growing a variety of crops in both outdoor and covered environments is essential as is PA1 and PA6. A formal horticultural qualification will be an advantage, however a previous track record would also be considered.

Early mornings and late evenings may be required during busy periods, along with weekends on a rota basis
