A leading soft fruit producer is looking for a soft fruit Agronomic Advisor to assist the Farm Manager in the technical aspects of farming including crop husbandry, spraying and irrigation.
This 200 acre soft fruit farm is situated in a prime location and is known as being a happy place to work. With the company planning to invest and expand in the future, this job as Agronomic Advisor will provide you with plenty of opportunity to progress and reach your full potential.

The Job

As Agronomic Advisor on this soft fruit farm, it will be your job to lead the growing strategies for different crops, manage a Technical team and advise on innovation and crop development.
You will also walk the crops on a daily basis ensuring that they are healthy and developing at a steady rate.
Another aspect of your job will be to analyse and interpret technical data in order to find ways to improve existing growing systems.

The Candidate

If you wish to successfully become Agronomic Advisor for this soft fruit company then you will have a good understanding of lasting growing systems and proven experience of effectively working on a large scale growing operation.
It is also essential that you have previous agricultural experience (indoor and outdoor), excellent management skills and a clean UK driving licence.
You will ideally be FACTS/BASIS qualified, understand "Muddy Boots" software, have experience of working to budgets and be able to matrix manage project teams; however, it is not essential.
