A trained gardener/estate worker is required to work on a 900 acre private farm estate in Norfolk. The property garden requires considerable input as it has become rather overgrown in places.

Other estate works may be required such as general grounds and machinery maintenance, forestry work (150 acres mixed woodland), hedgerow management, fencing, house-sitting, dog walking, driving, assisting with rental cottages and assisting with conservation and game keeping (alongside the gamekeeper).  A horticultural qualification and chainsaw certificates would be beneficial, but not necessarily essential.  Agricultural work is carried out by external contractors. In addition to gardening, the owners have a love for conservation and shooting. The property contains a tennis court and swimming pool as well as a 30 foot greenhouse (on order).

This lifestyle opportunity would suit a trustworthy, enthusiastic and committed lover of the countryside, with a good sense of humour and multidisciplinary skill set.

The position is offered with accommodation comprising of a 2/3 bedroom semi-detached house with double glazing and oil-fired central heating. Couples are welcome to apply; there is likely to be some part-time duties available depending on the partner’s skill set.
