Contracts Manager / Senior Project Manager - Soft Landscaping
Our client is a Landscape Contractor who have been involved in commercial soft landscaping across the South East for over 20 years, spanning as far north as Milton Keynes and as far west as Bristol.
Due to expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Soft Landscaping Contracts Manager to oversee sites across London and the South East completing landscaping schemes for a wide variety of clients, including company headquarters, new schools and academies, business and retail parks, superstores and industrial estates, as well as ecologically sensitive areas.
Ideally based in the London / M25 area, the successful Contracts Manager / Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for the management of teams of Landscapers who carry out contracts of between 10K and 500K, ensuring that a consistently high level of client satisfaction is delivered and maintained.
Your duties as a Contracts Manager / Senior Project Manager will include:
Overseeing contracts of between 10K and 500K, ensuring that a consistently high level of client satisfaction is delivered and maintained.
Responsibility for the management of Landscaper crews centred around Watford and Enfield, but covering sites throughout London, the South and South East, as far as Milton Keynes and Bristol.
Contract negotiations with clients, able to price from drawings.
Writing method statements and risk assessments.
Finding workable solutions to problems as they arise.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
Experience within the soft landscaping industry as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager.
Experience in overseeing / managing 4 or 5 teams of workers.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
Excellent organisation skills and a fine eye for detail.
Be numerate with good report writing skills - including the ability to write method statements and risk assessments.
The abilities to impart instructions clearly and lead and motivate your teams.
Be a good problem solver, able to prioritise and manage your time efficiently and meet deadlines.
Have a flexible, methodical and conscientious approach.
Full driving licence and current CSCS card are essential.
Salary and reward package:
Salary in the region of £35-40k depending on skills and experience, plus bonus.
