Project Officer - Open Spaces

Borough of Poole is looking for a Project Officer to help us shape and sustain Poole’s environment.

As part of the Environmental Development team, you’ll deliver projects and programmes that improve the quality of Poole’s parks, nature reserves, amenity spaces and their facilities for people and wildlife.

You will lead and contribute to projects so you’ll need to have experience of project management, be able to work to deadlines, and have an organised approach to work planning and prioritisation. You will be a confident and clear communicator and will work proactively to develop partnerships and engage with the community.

It would be an advantage to have experience and knowledge of open spaces. We’re particularly keen to hear from people with experience of equipped play, but that is not essential. You’ll need to be educated to degree level (or equivalent).

The Project Officers will play an active role in a multi-skilled team and there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your own skills and contribute to the direction of the service.

For an informal discussion please contact Kate Mitchell, Open Spaces Development Manager on or 01202 261755.

Closing date: midnight on Sunday 6 November

Interview dates: Tuesday 22 November
